The First One Awards
 | The First One AwardsPresented by ACCESS There are few achievements more worthwhile than attaining a college degree, yet there are also few challenges greater than being in the first generation of your family to seek out higher education. Nevertheless, every year students rise to this challenge and achieve their college dreams, becoming leaders of their community in the process.
ACCESS created the First One Awards to honor these Boston leaders, and ACCESS is proud to provide Boston students the support they need to make their dreams of a higher education come true.
ACCESS invites you to participate in the First One Awards by nominating outstanding men and women who are first-generation college graduates.
The First One Awards will recognize individuals who: - Are in the first generation of their family to graduate from college
- Live or work in Boston, or graduated from the Boston Public Schools
- Lead in the fields of business, non-profit, government, healthcare, philanthropy, or education
- Actively contribute to the civic fabric of the Boston community
The First One Awards have already received tremendous support from the Boston community. Tom Birmingham, former President of the Massachusetts Senate, will serve as Chair of the Selection Committee. Conover, Tuttle, and Pace has signed on to be our Creative Partner. | |
