Emily, born and raised in Washington DC moved to Boston in 2007 after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in History. Prior to joining ACCESS, Emily worked in the communications department of Oxfam America, an international relief and development organization dedicated to issues of poverty and social justice.

Looking to get involved with community youth development and to work directly with Boston Public School students, Emily came to ACCESS in August 2009, excited to commit herself to removing financial barriers to higher education for Boston’s youth. Outside of her work with ACCESS, Emily mentors a high school student with the City Links program at Cambridge Community Service.  She enjoys working with young people, and hopes to dedicate her career to supporting and inspiring youth in their pursuit of success.
